2 MoAs signed in Dec’07 with the Arunachal Pradesh government for the execution of the Par and Dardu hydro electric power projects
The MoAs envisage:
- Setting up of Par (65 MW) and Dardu (60 MW) power projects on BOOT basis
- Both projects located on Pare river in Papum Pare district
- 40 year concession period from COD; thereafter transfer to state government free of cost
- 12% of power generated to be paid as royalty to state government at plant bus bar
- Evacuation of power to be responsibility of state government
- Payment of INR 0.01 per kwh towards local area development fund
- Deposit of 0.1% of the project cost , within one month of finalization of DPR, towards project monitoring, evaluation and co-ordination
- Payments done of INR 40,000/MW towards processing fee and INR 51,000/MW towards first installment of upfront payment
Two Special Purpose Vehicles viz. (i) KVK Par Power Private Ltd and (ii) KVK Dardu Hydro Energy Private ltd floated to set up the projects
Bangalore Hydro Engineering Consultants appointed for preparation of DPRs
- Likely to be completed by December 2010 for both projects
